First Fruit, Inc, wants to be a part of a new paradigm of giving. The language of ‘have and have not’ and its associated practices, endemic to foundation work, are wholly inappropriate to how we relate to our community. This new paradigm has many factors; however, one of the most important is an understanding that in the act of giving, we are engaged on a level plane, where there is neither have or have not, but two parts of the body, joined in a communion of joy. There are no artificial limits on what can be accomplished or experienced or exchanged. There can be abundance or scarcity for both foundations and ministries and there must be recognition that we need each other. We are, after all, engaged in a common task with a common outcome as our goal.

Question: What are your funding strategies?
We are a private foundation that provides grants to Christian ministries in the developing world in the areas of leadership development, evangelism and holistic ministry. Our leadership development focuses on training mid-career leaders, grass root pastors and lay leaders and supporting evangelical seminaries. We focus on reaching the unreached through evangelism and church planting among unreached peoples.
